Airsoft Banned in Ultamiya

This evening, a fight between the President and one of his advisors resulted in a very heated debate whether the military should be carrying Airsoft weaponry.

Ultamiya, which in its 6-month history has never been attacked by a serious group or non-fictional entity, would be considered relatively safe, however the President thinks otherwise.

"It is crucial that we develop our military. We do not have any serious firepower outside of Nerf, and if someone attacks us, we are relatively doomed. For Ultamiya to succeed as a strong country, we need a strongly-armed defense, which is something we can't get with Nerf."

This statement, something he has backed for the entire lifespan of the Ultamian Republic, has been denounced and defeated by his advisor. She claims, as reported, that the President cannot be safe firing off Airsoft rounds, and there are serious risks, especially in ricochet capabilities. So she has disallowed him to import Airsoft.

She has also combated the Viceroy of the Shimate District, Katherine Salapa, who was allowing the military to train with Airsoft there.

David has been reportedly blocked inside the Capital District with threats of "grounding" if he is to go tomorrow and train at Shimate.
