52% of facts are made up on the spot.
But besides, death sentences should exist. It shows people ''You do crimes. You pay for them. That's your fault.''
I'm a catholic, but to give the general viewpoint: if your dead you can't regret anything...your just dead. Dead.

I don't like the song, it was just on GH4 and I heard that, and yeah, I just happened to remember that.Originally Posted by spiderkid12
Hellraiser, what I meant, was that that no criminal can regret their wrongdoings, or repent, if their dead. That's is why the death penalty is cruel. (It is a deterrent though, since most people don't want to die) You can't learn that murder is bad if your dead. The death penalty can not be used as a punishment, it just doesn't work. Once your dead, that's it. For that same reason it can not teach a lesson. If I was to die, I wouldn't be scared of it. Why should I? (I would of course be scared for my family, because a family member dieing could be devastating, but that's another topic) That's why the death penalty can only ever be used to in defense. And, 99% of the time (52 percent of percentages are made up on the spot), a life in prison would work just as well.
Having a death sentence in place will certainly deter all/most forms of crime.
