RELAX! I have braces and you can eat stuff with bones in it as well as chocolate. just no hard stuff like nuts, no sticky stuff such as gum(that actually does suck.) No caramel, no dogpoop.( Makes your braces dirty ) And pretty much stuff like that. And yes it sucks after getting your braces tightened.

Pain should go away by the end of the week. I had recently gotten braces too. I got them 2 weeks ago. BTW don't forget to floss that is actually important as it turns out.

Did you get braces for the upper or the lower part of your teeth galaxy ( )? and front or back?

I took a painkiller but IT DID NOT work

I have a retainer, which I guess is like brace only you can take it out if you want. But when you take it out it is covered in spittle and gross stuff, like one time I ate a cookie and put in my retainer. When I took it out it was all crumby. :P

What do you mean, did not work? How long ago did you take it after writing that post? And what painkiller did you youse?

Usually painkillers take 20-50 minutes to work, so not an insta-killer :P

but ora gel does it pretty quickly. i mix that with advil it works pretty good. also it was liquigels advil not regular, but i can't tell the difference.
