When i was at school i never worked over the summer so i finally started my Apprenticeship in August 2001. I didn't know what job i would want to go for so i took something that sounded not to bad to me.
"Fachkraft für Lagerwirtschaft" -> "Specialist for Warehouse Management" (Google Translation)

This year in August i am hopefully becoming a Master in this and can call myself "Meister" then:
"Meister für Lagerwirtschaft" -> "Master of Warehouse Management"

So since i started learning my job and working in it i never switched professions and i still like my job.

So almost 10 years done only 30 more to go until i can retire

No, i am 27, started with 17... and i just noticed that you are right it should be 40 more years

My first job was in a Newspaper.

Heavy lifting for the local Commissary on the military base.
That and bagging, tips payed great in a month or so.

i umpire little kid baseball. really easy. pays well. and its fun. ( and you get free water from the concession stand)
