I wouldn't see any reason for a lack of red blood cells in your body.

You don't need to see a reason, it's just a birth defect.

If it was a birth defect, I'd imagine spider would have known long before now whether she had anemia or not.

Wait a birth defect for red blood cells or pale skin? I've always had pale skin. At first it never really seemed much. I really don't know anymore.
