    bots?

    why are bots always on this site. and i've seen a lot of complaining about the so why not restrict them with robot.txt

    Firstly, it's robots.txt not robot.txt
    Secondly, it's to restrict WebCrawlers like Google or Bing
    Thirdly, these bots are good bots as they index the site for search engines
    For the "bad" bots, there'd need to be a human test of some-sort to restrict them

    Is it so, that the bots register, or that people register and the bots use the accounts?

    Bots are pre-registered when u install the board, at least it is so for phpbb which is used here.

    I mean the bots like Google and Yahoo that are pre-installed, sorry if that came out wrong. Also i don't think the Spambots are really bots as they seem to be really slow but i could be wrong with that.

    Oh, I'd recommend these images that have the letters in them and you have to write the letters. I think that this is what we already have.
