This game is weird at level 7 their magnetic field can work through a magnetic object, I don't think it is possible because the magnetic domains of the metal has been used to stop the magnetic force of the magnet to pass through...

these magnets are probably electromagnets where they can be charged to be either the same charge(to repel) or different charges(to attract).

a magnet has 2 poles a north pole(positive charge) and a south pole(negative charge) and the opposite charges attract while same charges repel. that is how a magnet works
